Alumni careers

Some Novantas professionals have chosen to move on to client organizations, advanced degree programs or other career paths during the past few years. While we are disappointed when anyone leaves the Firm, we are never-the-less proud of their achievements, and maintain close contact with them as they continue to demonstrate the character and capabilities that made them successful at Novantas.

A few recent alumni are profiled below: (rollover photo)

Jason Hardgrave
(jhardgrave@alumni.novantas.com)
Principal, Novantas
Now: Senior Executive, Santander, UK

"It has been one of my most rewarding experiences to participate in the
growth and success of Novantas. The Firm gave me a strong foundation of
financial industry expertise, and taught me how to deconstruct and solve
tough problems in a logical, fact-based manner. I find these skills invaluable
in my role as a senior executive at Santander in the UK."

Beverly Anderson
(banderson@alumni.novantas.com)
Principal, Novantas
Now: Senior VP, American Express International

"The experiences I had at Novantas help me every day as a senior executive. In my years at the Firm, I learned more about how companies are managed, and how to get things done in complex organizations, than I would have at any other job."

Zach Hollander
(zhollander@alumni.novantas.com)
Senior Associate, Novantas
Now: Director, Empire State Development Corporation

"Novantas was a crash course in management. I learned skills that are applicable in any type of work. From day one, I gained first hand exposure to day to day project management, intensive problem solving within a small team, interaction with senior directors at the Firm, and client contact at the highest levels."

Preetam Rao
(prao@alumni.novantas.com)
Senior Associate, Novantas
Now: MBA Student at Columbia Business School

"One of the things I find most interesting about business school today is that much of what we cover in class, I personally experienced in my tenure at Novantas. I came here more prepared to learn about business, since I had already mastered the core skills that many others are still struggling to learn."

Nicole Jarrett
(njarrett@alumni.novantas.com)
Associate, Novantas
Now: MD Candidate at Cornell Medical School

"You might ask what working at a financial services consulting firm has to do with success at Medical School? Frankly, a lot of the skills are similar: solving complex problems you never saw before, synthesizing solutions from disparate facts and observations, challenging conventional wisdom. The Novantas experience helped me develop my skills as a problem solver, and that applies to any career you choose."

Chris Fonzone
(cfonzone@alumni.novantas.com)
Principal, Novantas
Now: JD Candidate at Harvard Law School

"Novantas gave me enormous levels of responsibility, like presenting to senior clients and managing people, sooner than I could have imagined. The travel opportunities are fantastic; Project work took me to Hong Kong, Singapore, England, Mexico, Silicon Valley. Although I've decided to focus on a legal career, I find that I use the analytical and management skills I developed at Novantas on a daily basis."

Ted Bloomberg
(tbloomberg@alumni.novantas.com)
Principal, Novantas
Now: Senior VP, Toronto Dominion Bank

"I will always be indebted to my colleagues at Novantas, because they taught me how to think critically, and express myself in a compelling, professional manner"

Mo Khalil
(mkhalil@alumni.novantas.com)
Senior Associate, Novantas
Now: Vice President Product Strategy and Pricing, Merrill Lynch

"I worked with alot of very smart people at Novantas, but just as important, felt that I received alot of personal mentoring. One reason I focus so much of my time today on people development is due to the mentoring culture I absorbed at Novantas."
