José-Luis Cortina Joins Novantas, To Lead Consulting Practice in Spain

NEW YORK - Novantas LLC, the leading provider of management consultancy and information services to the financial services industries, today announced the addition of José-Luis Cortina, co-founder of GAP Management Consulting, Madrid. He will serve as Managing Director and Regional Head of Novantas, España.

Cortina brings more than 20 years of consulting experience to Novantas. Prior to his tenure at GAP Management Consulting, he was a founding partner and Managing Director for Mitchell Madison Group in Spain. Earlier in his career, he was a partner with McKinsey & Co.

"José-Luis has an outstanding track record of improving organizational performance in service industries," said Jim Bramlett, a Novantas Managing Director who is leading the Firm's international expansion. "He has been instrumental in applying Novantas' analytical approaches to revenue growth and customer service in Spain, and we see significant opportunities for additional service to clients in that country."

Cortina has represented Novantas in Spain since 2003, and today's announcement represents a formalization and expansion of that role. Over his consulting career, he has contributed to strategy, management and operations in numerous industries, including financial services, the industrial sector, telecommunications, media, energy and consumer products and services.

José Luis attended Escuela Superieor de Ingeniers Industriales, Bilbao (Spain). He received an MBA from INSIDE, Universidad de Deusto (la Comercial), Bilbao (Spain), and he also earned an MBA from Drake University while on a Fulbright scholarship.
