Patent Approval for Bruce Weiner, Managing Director of LogicSourcing, Novantas Subsidiary

NEW YORK - Novantas LLC today announced that Bruce Weiner has received notification of U.S. Patent Office approval for a web-based technology platform. The executive, along with three co-inventors, devised an online system for the distribution of commercial insurance products now widely used in the United States.

Weiner is Managing Director of LogicSourcing, a Novantas subsidiary focused on improving the efficiency of service companies through scientific management of the supply chain. He is among the patent designates for innovations featured in the "Methods and Apparatus for Selecting an insurance Carrier for an Online Insurance Policy Purchase," a system now in use by more than 2,500 insurance agencies.

Formerly Managing Director of Strategic Sourcing for United Airlines, Weiner brings 20 years of executive and consulting experience to Novantas. Prior to joining United Airlines, he was a Senior Engagement Manager at First Manhattan Consulting Group, New York, and he also was a Technology Executive at American Express Co. Weiner began his career as a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton.
